ST. PAUL, Minn – NeighborWorks Home Partners is partnering with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity to give their customers access to TruePath Mortgage. These loans originate through Habitat’s wholly owned nonprofit mortgage company, TCHFH Lending, Inc.
Bearing the slogan “own a home you love with a mortgage you can afford,” TruePath is geared towards improving homeownership rates of low-and-moderate income households across the seven-county metropolitan area: Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott and Washington counties.
Program benefits include a below-market interest rate and a fixed monthly payment at no more than 30% of the applicant’s income. Homebuyers working with NeighborWorks are also able to combine this product with existing down payment assistance offerings, such as Community Keys Plus and NWHP First Generation.
Applicants may be eligible if they: meet income guidelines; have not have owned a primary residence in the past three years; have lived in and want to buy in a home in the seven-county metro area; and are willing to complete the mortgage qualification process and attend a homebuyer education workshop.
Begin the application online by navigating to the TruePath Mortgage program page and selecting “Get Started.” Future homeowners who need assistance in becoming mortgage ready can make an appointment with a homeownership advisor.
