Education and Engagement Coordinator, AmeriCorps VISTA

Gain experience in nonprofit operations and administration while helping increase access to homeownership. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys thinking about systems and connections, creating processes and presentations, and helping others learn and expand their horizons.

1.) Implement technology to increase efficiency in serving customers. Help create customer workflows that utilize SalesForce resources and prepare training materials to assist staff in implementing these workflows. Continue development of leads management process to help engage potential customers. Evaluate customer needs and barriers and design information materials and trainings to enable customers to better access our services.

2.) Create community education presentations that introduce NWHP to greater community audiences. This may include development of a financial basics course targeted to college students (traditional and non-traditional) to introduce concepts of homeownership.

3.) Develop evaluation measures to identify strengths and weaknesses and areas for improvement in programming.

This is a yearlong AmeriCorps VISTA position, beginning August 28, 2018 and running through August 27, 2019. There is a also required pre-service orientation in Columbus, OH, from August 21-24. AmeriCorps VISTA nembers receive a living allowance plus a $300 housing subsidy and are eligible for a tuition award or cash benefit at completion of service. NeighborWorks Home Partners provides an additional housing subsidy. Applications should be received by June 26.
