Homeownership Advising Manager

NeighborWorks Home Partners is seeking a highly motivated full-time Homeownership Advising Manager to lead our growing Home Ownership Center.

Under the supervision of the Chief Program Officer, the Homeownership Advising Manager is responsible for the development, supervision, and delivery of NeighborWorks Home Partners’ (NWHP) Homeownership Advising programs, including pre purchase, group education (Home Stretch), financial coaching, and foreclosure intervention, emphasizing underserved markets.

This position will deliver high quality homeownership advising for homebuyers and homeowners as well as oversee the work of the NWHP Homeownership Advising staff. The Homeownership Advising Manager plays the critical role managing the department, ensuring efficient operations, compliance with policies, procedures and reporting deadlines and expanding the reach of the organization.

The Candidate:

To be amazing in this role, you will have supervisory and case management experience, a high degree of self-motivation, dedication, creativity and perseverance. You will have strong problem-solving skills and must have consistent attention to details, particularly as it applies to program reporting, funder requirements, and program compliance.

Required 

  • 3+ years of homeownership advising experience with strong financial coaching, foreclosure intervention, and group education skills.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience, with the ability to develop and motivate staff.
  • Experience and ability to work with people of diverse social economic backgrounds with the ability to adjust style and pace to meet client or audience needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective case management, handle large caseloads, and a passion to learn new skills/techniques to deliver efficient and successful client outcomes.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and public speaking skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a high production environment, requiring enthusiasm, self-motivation and a positive attitude.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills while working collaboratively in team settings with staff and partners.
  • Good judgment, common sense, maturity, tolerance for stress, and team spirit.
  • Ability to design and navigate new processes.
  • AA/BA/BS degree in Human Services, Social Work, Business, Finance, Housing, Real Estate or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary professional certifications.

  • Passion for the mission of the organization.
  • Fluency in two or more languages (including English).
  • Computer proficiency – Microsoft Office, Salesforce or other CRM, electronic file storage/signature, Zoom/Teams virtual meeting platforms

Compensation:

Salary range anticipated $57,900 – $66,600, depending on qualifications.  This is a benefits-eligible, full-time position.
