NeighborWorks Home Partners is seeking an organized and motivated full-time Lending Intern to support our lending department.
Under the supervision of the Community Lending Manager, the Lending Intern supports the lending team during our busy summer season. The Lending Intern shadows all roles in the lending team to gain exposure to mission-driven financing tools that serve our metro communities. This role will work in our loan origination system to support efficient use of templates to streamline customer documents and provides general support to the lending team. The role researches homeownership-related professional groups and nonprofits to broaden our outreach to BIPOC communities and host virtual lending services orientations.
This position is funded by the Nonprofit Lender Internship Grant, the purpose of which is to support an internship experience for the next generation of community development lenders, supplement capacity in the nonprofit lending space, and support the development of a diverse pipeline of talent in the banking industry.
You are excited at the idea of working for a nonprofit and eager to pair work experience to your business- or IT-related coursework. You are resourceful and feel comfortable to jump in with technology. You are detail oriented and excited ready for an assistant-level position.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a business related or IT field with a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse community, work well under pressure on deadline and adapt to changing situations.
• Flexible, detail oriented with the ability to proficiently learn new software applications
• Fluency in two or more languages (including English).
Physical and Schedule Requirements
• Primarily a seated, computer centric position.

• Ability to work remotely and in NWHP office locations.
Salary is $15 per hour. The position duration is 12 weeks between May and August, 2021.
