Residents of suburban Ramsey County may be eligible for financial assistance.

Worried about keeping your home due to income loss from COVID-19?

Update for 6/16/2022: This program is no longer accepting new applications. If your request is in process, we will be in touch with you soon.

You worked hard to get where you are today. We can help you stay there.

Ramsey County has partnered with the Minnesota Homeownership Center and NeighborWorks Home Partners to create and administer the Ramsey County Homeownership Preservation Program.

If you live in suburban Ramsey County (and not within the city limits of Saint Paul) and are facing COVID-related challenges that may affect your ability to stay in your home, limited financial assistance may be available to you.

If you live in Saint Paul, you may be eligible for help through the Saint Paul Homeownership Preservation Program (SPHHP).

Eligibility criteria for the Ramsey County program includes:

  • Live in an owner-occupied property in Suburban Ramsey County (not City of St. Paul proper)
  • Are experiencing a housing emergency, defined as being unable to pay a bill that may affect your ability to live in the home.
  • Self-attest a COVID-related financial loss such as loss of income, increased health care costs, or costs associated with working from home.
  • Have a self-attested current household gross annual income of at or below 80% AMI

You may begin the pre-application now or call the Minnesota Homeownership Center at 651-659-9336.

You may also call NeighborWorks Home Partners to talk through your options at 651-292-8710 or get started here.
